What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):
- Will be responsible for designing, developing and testing applications in support of the achievement of business requirements
- Ability to work as part of a development team
- responsible for software development and support for systems used in the Risk line of business
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Demonstrated Understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Strong attention to detail
- Significant experience as a successful Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Extensive experience with Software Design and development in a test-driven environment
- Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude coupled with focus and follow-through
- Experience with Java, Git, React, Docker, Python, REST, Eclipse, IntelliJ, or similar stack
